Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex.
Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.
Even if it means making war against the gods.

This was such a cute little quick read of a novella. I usually never like novellas because I find them unnecessary. Or I think they don't add much to the story. But Elixir was so adorable. I really loved it!!

Our heroine, Alex, is no longer herself. Her body has been seized controlled over by Seth. And so she has been confined to a cell. Aiden and the others realize that in order to keep Alex away from Seth is to put her under the Elixir. And that is Alex's greatest fear.

When Alex was under the elixir, she was so different. She was a whole different person. It was really odd but in a cute way because she was like monotone. She was like a scared little girl. I loved seeing Aiden gaining her trust and confidence. And watching them grow together once more was so adorable but in a way, it was also really sad to read about because it wasn't really Alex. There's one part where Alex is so frightened and she goes to hide in a freaking closet!! It was really hard and my heart broke for Aiden.

If you have already read the first three books in this series, I'd definitely recommend reading Elixir. Because it really adds to the story. I found it to be quite beautiful for a short story. Just make sure you read it after Deity or if you've read the whole series because there are Deity spoilers.
